Play In A Day

Play In A Day is a unique opportunity for a Year 3 - 6 class of up to 30 children of any ability to perform a scripted play.

Led by a specially trained tutor, the children learn one of our popular scripts, then use their voices and bodies to create characters and scenes which come together as a final performance for their school friends, teachers and/or parents.

All in just one school day.

How does the day work?

Your Play In A Day tutor will arrive at least half an hour before the start of school. He/she will be happy to work around your break and lunch times, aiming for the performance of the play at the end of the school day.

It is preferable though not essential that the class' usual teacher is present during the day.

How does the play work?

Many of our plays have been specially written to support the National Curriculum, others are just for fun. Within Play In A Day scripts every child is given an appropriate role whether a single line or more advanced narrative.

The plays are simple to understand and are constructed to allow all children in the class to be involved in the performance from start to finish.

The tutors

All of our Play In A Day tutors have been CRB checked and have many years experience both in working with children and in the field of performing arts.

Our selection and training process is rigorous and we accept only able, highly motivated tutors.
