Academy Regulations

All Limelight, ballet and tap classes must be paid on a termly basis by the start of each term. All other classes can be paid on a weekly or termly basis.

In exceptional circumstances arrangements can be made with the Academy to pay in instalments, this must be arranged before the start of each term.

If a student misses a class they will not be refunded for their absence.

In the event that cheques have to be represented to the bank or are declined the student must pay the cost incurred. Payment by standing order is available upon request.

Full uniform must be worn to every ballet and tap class; new students must be in uniform by the end of their first full term.

If the class teacher feels that the student is wearing inappropriate footwear or clothing to class the student will not be allowed to participate in the class. Jewellery which the class teacher feels may cause injury or is inappropriate for the class must be removed.

Long hair should be tied back, short or mid length hair should be off the face, for all ballet classes hair should be in a bun. Students must not eat or chew gum whilst in class.

Classes run back to back on the timetable without a break, students are asked to be considerate of each others timings by getting ready in the changing room before their class start time and by leaving promptly at the end.

Students are asked to wait quietly outside the class and wait for the teacher to invite them in to the studio to begin.

Parents/Guardians may request to watch a class, this is at the discretion of the class teacher.

The final week may occasionally be designated ‘watching week’. Parents/Guardians and friends are welcome to come in and watch classes, but must check with the class teacher before taking any pictures or video footage of the class.

Students are expected to demonstrate respectful behaviour to their class teacher and fellow students. Anyone displaying inappropriate behaviour will be asked to leave the class.

Students are responsible for their own property whilst at the Academy and bring items at their own risk.

The Academy has the final decision on all matters and can at their discretion exclude students from classes temporarily or permanently.

The timetable may be revised at any time at the discretion of the Academy.

A certain amount of risk is carried by any physical activity, participants taking part in activities do so at their own risk.
